Degree Requirement

I. Compulsory Major Courses

1. When taking a compulsory course for the first time, students must enroll in a section offered by this department.

2. For students retaking or making up a compulsory course, relevant courses offered by other departments may be taken instead.

3. For students who enrolled in or after the 2024 academic year (113th academic year), elective "Special Topics in Research" courses taken elsewhere cannot be used to satisfy the compulsory "Special Topics in Research" credit requirements of this department.

II. Elective Courses

1. In accordance with Article 11 of the university’s "Regulations for Student Course Selection," enrolling in courses offered by other departments requires approval from both this department and the department offering the course.

2. A maximum of 15 credits from courses offered by other departments may be counted toward the elective credit requirements for graduation (excluding physical education, military training, and national defense courses; all other courses may be included in the elective credit total for graduation requirements).

These guidelines were approved at the departmental faculty meeting on September 30, 2026 (115th academic year).
